Identity
Located in the town of Salignac for more than 35 years, Sogibois searches the most beautiful forests of French oak. It is there through slow and steady growth, that the oaks acquire a structure of grains, called "fine grained". Veritable jewels of French heritage, these trees will naturally contribute to the elaboration of the greatest wines of the world.
Stave-mills perpetuate an ancestral tradition: it is still the hand of man that takes care of the oak, turning it into logs, then quarters, then trimmed wood and finally into staves.
The men who work here are the goldsmiths of a sort of art form that develops this much sought-after stave.
