Identity
Like Speyside in Scotland, the US state of Kentucky, commonly referred to as the "Bluegrass State" has its own "golden triangle", bound by the cities of Bardstown, Frankfort and Louisville.
This region includes about fifteen distilleries that concentrate 95% of American production, with world famous distilleries such as Four Roses, Jim Beam, Heaven Hill, and Wild Turkey.
Unlike Scotch Whiskey, the bourbon must, in order to be entitled to the name, be raised in a new American white oak barrel for a period of at least two years.
To cope with growing demand, Speyside Bourbon was built from scratch in 2016. With an area of 20,000 square meters, Speyside Bourbon has the capacity to produce up to 400,000 casks a year.
Through a combination of state-of-the-art technology and age-old expertise, Speyside Cooperage aims to produce the highest quality aging products.
